NYC day

I went to NYC the other day and it was totally fabulous as usual we went to pearls river market. It is a great store for jackets, accessories, and tableware. Then over to Topshop which I haven't been in since the last time I was in London. In another post I will share what I bought at the different stores. Afterwards we went to lunch at Balthazar and on the way saw this cool sewing machine window. I love eating at Balthazar's because it makes me feel like I'm in this jam packed cafe in Paris. Not that I have been to Paris and know what its like but its nice to imagine. Whenever we go there I get the steak fritz and the profiteroles, so yummy. The other great thing is its loud so know one can really over hear what you are saying. The last picture that I'm leaving you with is my nails with a lovely brichbox nail polish but the ring is a fun accessory from Top Shop.

It's that time of year

I'm so excited that the Phillies are playing again!!!! I love baseball games but I don't enjoy watching them on tv. There is something magical about being at the ballpark, that even when the game is slow I can find something that interests me like people watching. The game wasn't to exciting but ran into people from one of my many jobs and sat with them for a while. So that's why there are different views of the stadium.  I couldn't believe how packed the stadium, but I remember the days when they were in a slump and only the die hearts came the game. I was also reading the other day that Pat Burrell will be retiring as a Phillies player. I'm not sure how I feel about this he use to be my favorite player and in the last years he played for the Phillies I was ready to see him go.

Sorry if you aren't big baseball fans but I hope you can at least enjoy the pictures.

April birchbox

I'm really enjoying this months birchbox, So far I have used everything except for the perfume b/c I my few signature scents and I'm not planing on changing them up anytime soon. The Hand salve is a little greasy for me but it works really well. I have been keeping the willa wipes in my night stand and they work pretty well I just wished they smelled more like lavender. I like the Zoya nail polish color but it doesn't last 50% longer then traditional nail polish, without a top coat it lasted one day  and with a sally hansen top coat is lasted me 2 days. It lasted about the same as any of my other nail polishes, I'm also pretty hard on my nails b/c of the jobs that I have. I was kind of excited about the laundry drops, they will be great to stick in my suitcase case when traveling. It was more exciting to find out that they are made in the USA and by a local company. Pretty impressive when everything else seems to be made in China. I'm also pretty happy that it came mid month this time, not like last time months where it was almost April.

Spring Like Days

I can't believe how warm it has been this March. It has been pretty great to get out and walk around in the sun with the dogs, they seem to enjoy this warm weather just as much. With the end of winter means that Rita's is open for business, they have some of the best water ice. Rita's is pretty iconic in the Philly area, and my favorite treat to get is the Mango gelati which is vanilla custard on the bottom with a layer of water ice topped off with a dollop of vanilla custard. The water ice isn't like the water ice you get at the super market thats rock hard, its a little thicker then a sluppery with small chunks of fruit in it.

It is also the time of year for sidewalk chalk drawings. These are a few from the school near our house, and the students loved seeing Vinnie while they were out drawing. I'm not sure if he enjoyed all the attention or they enjoyed his attention more. It interesting to watch middle school students soften up when there is a dog around. I guess some of it has to do with the dog always excepting them just the way they are, there are no games being played. It would be really neat if dogs could be allowed in schools, but I get the whole allergy thing but it would be nice.

With all of these weather the roses should be starting to wake-up and start growing leaves and then buds. This rose is one that had bought at the flower show and I just thought it looked really beautiful. Most of the daffodils are up so I will have to get some pictures of them b/c they are the most interesting yellow.

Happy St Patricks Day

When I was little St. Patricks day was one of my most favorite holidays, not because I'm Irish. But because it was the day when leprechauns ran wild. I have a very lovely mom who allowed me to think such crazy things that I could catch one if I set the right trap. So I would spend hours and hours building the perfect trap. But some how he would always get away, not without leaving a card with money or a little piece of his jacket oh and greenish gold glitter. I don't set the traps anymore but its fun to think back to all the hard work that I would put into catching one. Hope you all have a lovely St. Patricks Day!

Love Lilly

The other day I ordered some fun items from Lilly and they finally came. They are a tumbler, sunglasses strap, iPhone case and as a little extra animal crackers. I just can't help myself when it comes to pink and green. They have been so cheery on these chill winter days haha. Plus I can't wait for really warm weather so I can wear these super cute shorts.
