June 2012 Birchbox

So I have totally been slacking these past couple of day but I did receive my June birchbox last week. This months theme was jet setter. So far I have liked all the products but I was a little sad when I didn't get one of those cute little bottles of nail polish.

To bad I'm really doing any traveling this summer or the near future :(

So far I have used 3 of the items in the box and they are Clark's Botanicals lip tint, theBalm lip stain, and tili bag. I have put the nail polish remover in my travel bag.  I have been slow on trying the Wonderlust b/c I already use a product that makes my hair super soft and shiny.

My Favorite things in June

1. I'm always switching bags up because some are cuter then others, but I keep coming back to this Filson Bag it may look small but it fits a ton in it. The bag is great for the summer because its made of a more breathable material then leather. Its great when your walking around b/c you can sling it over your shoulder or put it across your chest so its more secure. There are so many pockets inside of the bag you can really organize everything and it has a zipper pocket that a wallet fits in nicely.

2. My nook from b&n is a must have for the summer because I always seem to be on the go running from here to there. I'm always reading whenever I get a chance, so its nice having 25 books with me. I have a really cute cover for mine, it sits in my hands or lap just like a book. I can't believe how easy it is to read with it and easier on your eyes then the iPad. Don't get me wrong I love my iPad but just not for reading, to stressful on the eyes.

3. Sperry Top-siders, I have wanted a pair for as long as I can remember because my mom use to have a pair and they always looked so comfy. These shoes are great on rainy days when you want to look cute and not slip. I always seem to have this problem of slipping on floors when my shoes are wet. I love the platinum color because it goes with almost any casual outfit I could put together. Once broken in these shoes are amazing. They almost make me want to learn how to sail.

4. Jouer is my go to make up in the am, its light weight easy to put on, has sunscreen and evens out me skin tone really well. I first was introduced to this product with my birchbox subscription back in March and I haven't stopped using it since. I'm not a huge make up person but, I still like to look pretty and flawless, so this has been a great product.

5. Lately I have been obsessed with the band fun. I'm totally going to buy all their albums. They have such a funky sound and different layers to the music, its hard to stop listening. They are a New York based alternative band and best known for the song "we are young".

6. I summer must sunglasses, I have totally jumped on the band wagon of RayBands and I couldn't be happier. These sunglasses are amazing, I don't just wear them on sunny days but some of those weird cloudy days and they give you the definition needed to see better. They are also great at the pool they stay on really well and cut the glare of the water.

May's Birchbox

So I have come to realize that I really enjoy getting my birchbox in the mail each month. Not just because I like the products that come, but I love having fun mail instead of bills or bank statements. I was a little surprised when I collected the mail yesterday because the box wasn't its normal pink and I was a little worried that the wrong box got sent. Thankfully it was just one of their special boxes this ones theme was Gossip Girl and I must admit I do watch the show not for the substance of the show but as some mindless tv show and sometimes the clothes are really pretty. But let me show you what I received in my box for the month of May.

Color Club Nail Polish 

So far I have loved the headband and ordered more colors, and I love the gold nail polish. I haven't loved the perfumes that they have put in the boxes but maybe thats because I love my 4 go to scents and haven't changed them in 2 years. The note card is cute and I have already sent it off to a friend won't they be surprised. I haven't used the brush cleaner or the tinted lotion because I had two interviews last week and I didn't want to have some sort of rash on my face.

April birchbox

I'm really enjoying this months birchbox, So far I have used everything except for the perfume b/c I my few signature scents and I'm not planing on changing them up anytime soon. The Hand salve is a little greasy for me but it works really well. I have been keeping the willa wipes in my night stand and they work pretty well I just wished they smelled more like lavender. I like the Zoya nail polish color but it doesn't last 50% longer then traditional nail polish, without a top coat it lasted one day  and with a sally hansen top coat is lasted me 2 days. It lasted about the same as any of my other nail polishes, I'm also pretty hard on my nails b/c of the jobs that I have. I was kind of excited about the laundry drops, they will be great to stick in my suitcase case when traveling. It was more exciting to find out that they are made in the USA and by a local company. Pretty impressive when everything else seems to be made in China. I'm also pretty happy that it came mid month this time, not like last time months where it was almost April. 

March Birchbox

I finally got my first Birchbox, and it took forever to get it. At one point I was looking at the package tracking info and it's being sent all the way to Missouri. I'm very happy w/ the products that are in the box but I'm still a little annoyed that the boxes comes out of NYC and I live in Philly, there was no reason for the box to take so long to get to me. I'm given them 2 more months but if it takes just as long, I might cancel the service.

I have tried most everything in the box and I really like the Jouer moisturizing tint, it blends in with my bare mineral makeup an extra plus it has sunscreen in it, pretty sure I'm going to buy it. The hair elixir orofluido is also great it helps to tame my hair on those rainy spring days. I do also enjoy the nail polish and I'm sure it will work well with my nail pens so stay tuned for more nail designs.
